Working from Home 🏡🚉

This past year I have been working remotely and have enjoyed some of the benefits. It has been interesting and working from home may not be for everyone but I am appreciating the differences that do make working much easier.

Some companies may put in new practices to allow employees to work from home more often, I would definitely be interested in this considering that most of my work can be done remotely.

Working from home has given me these benefits:
  • There is practically no commute time and no travelling during rush hour
  • There is access to all of your belongings
  • Dressing more casually than usual, especially when no meetings are planned
  • There is more time to spend with the family
  • It is much easier to be able to take a break when needed
  • It is great to be able to work from home when fasting during Ramadan

I hope to continue working from home more often in future.
If you have been working remotely, how have you found it and would you want to go back?

    1. Thank you Mia! I found this a really valuable benefit as there can be more time to focus on something during what would be that transit time. xx

  2. Yes, indeed, I work from home too, some downside though is there are many distractions form my own computer. Sometimes I tend to browse the net or sop instead of work hehe.

  5. Indeed so many benefits to working from home. But you know I am also feeling this lethargy, missing out on co-workers, random meet-ups, fun stuff. I guess there's both sides to the coin!

Beautiful blog you have in here!

  8. It's nice to be able to work from home. My daughters are both teachers, and they were both working from home. But recently my youngest
had to go back to school to teach, and I wasn't pleased about that. You have such a cute blog, and it's nice to meet new friends.

    2. Oh, my daughters work from home, but I am in my retirement years right now. I was a stay-at-home mom for many years,
and then when the kids were in school, I worked as a Teacher's Aide and Photographer. : )

  9. I have gone to my office the whole time - no working from home when you're an office manager! It doesn't work! :) What I've heard from my colleagues is similar to what you've said, but I've also heard people have found it hard to separate work and life and are working far too many hours.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

    1. It is easier to merge work and personal life when working from home but having a designated space for work and sticking to hours really helps. I hope you are keeping safe and enjoy being at the office!

  12. I have been working from home for just over 5 years now, and I LOVE it! My favourite part is the fact that I get to work with my pets by my side. They are my biggest source of stress relief, always knowing when I need a few extra kisses or a short snuggle to help get my mind back on track. I can't imagine going back to a work environment where I had to leave them behind.

I am too loving WFH as I think it's so easy to get up and go to a specific space.
